REP launches awards to celebrate best CSRD reports

Winners will be decided by a panel of judges including MEPs, investors and senior figures from civil society.

Real Economy Progress has launched the first ever awards dedicated to celebrating good CSRD reports.

Europe’s largest companies started complying with the law, short for the Corporate Sustainability Reporting Directive, in 2025, meaning they have to publish extensive environmental and social disclosures alongside their financial reports.

Smaller entities are expected to be phased in over coming years, although the rules are currently being renegotiated.

Much of the public debate this year has focused on whether CSRD is fit for purpose, and if the information it generates is valuable to stakeholders, especially investors.

REP wants to take some time to celebrate the companies in the first wave of CSRD whose teams have worked hard to produce top quality, useful disclosures that can serve as an example to others.

In the spirit of CSRD, the awards recognise transparency and strategic thinking around sustainability, not performance.

You can nominate your own company’s sustainability statement or someone else’s via the form on our website.

There are seven categories: Structure, Double Materiality Assessments, Biodiversity, Water, Climate Transition plans, Taxonomy Disclosures, and Stakeholders & People.

The winners will be decided by a panel of judges including MEPs, investors and senior figures from civil society.

They will be announced in September.
