Real Economy Progress (REP) is a source of journalism and information about ESG and corporate sustainability.
Our readers range from the Chief Sustainability Officers of large listed companies through to heads of compliance and supply chain advisors. We also have a lot of subscribers among regulators, governments, financial institutions, NGOs and service providers.

The publication was founded in 2022 by Sophie Robinson-Tillett, who has written about sustainable finance for more than a decade.
She has held editor roles at Responsible Investor and Environmental Finance, and is currently a contributing editor with Investment & Pensions Europe. She is also a senior associate at the University of Oxford’s Public & Third Sector Academy for Sustainable Finance.
After years of writing about investors’ response to the ever-changing expectations around sustainability, Sophie decided there was a need for more helpful, serious journalism and analysis for non-financial companies. That’s why she established REP.
Her specialisms include EU and UK regulation, and the development of corporate and sectoral transition plans.

The other big contributor to REP’s content is Paul Verney.
Paul has been an ESG journalist since 2017. He was previously a senior reporter at Responsible Investor, and his specialisms for Real Economy Progress include US regulation, corporate reporting, and the sustainability demands of shareholders.
He also keeps on top of developments related to nature and biodiversity, and news relating to responsible lobbying.

On the business development side, Real Economy Progress is supported by Tony Hay.
Tony founded Responsible Investor in 2007, and was one of its managing directors until its acquisition in 2021. He was responsible for the events, sales and marketing arms of the business.
He now works with REP to develop strategic and commercial partnerships.
