This fortnight’s sustainability vacancies include roles at Google, ERM, Flutter, Amazon and the British Standards Institute

Google is seeking a technical lead for its carbon removal team. The US-based position involves helping Google set criteria for emerging removal technologies. It carries an annual salary of between $156k and $229k.  

Flutter Entertainment is on the hunt for a head of sustainability reporting, to work with its finance, sustainability and communications teams on voluntary and mandatory disclosures. The successful candidate will also develop reports for the online gambling firm’s board and investors, and work on Flutter’s ‘sustainability ratings agency strategy’.

The British Standards Institute is recruiting a head of group sustainable operations, with a focus on designing and implementing the standard-setters climate transition plan. The role will also include work on the circular economy, biodiversity, climate adaptation, carbon offsetting and ESG reporting.

Morningstar Sustainalytics is on the hunt for a head of climate product development. The newly-created role focuses on developing and launching products for investors.

Amazon is hiring engineering specialists with a focus on sustainability, to support its energy efficiency efforts across the UK and in Berlin.  

Food company Pilgrim’s Europe is hiring a fixed-term, London-based senior manager for its sustainability programme, to help develop and implement good sustainability governance measures, including around reporting.  

Environmental consulting firm ERM is seeking a carbon offset director to lead the sales and delivery of its verification and certification business, while supporting the growth of its assurance team in Europe. The role is open to candidates in several locations in Europe and South Africa. 

Sustainability consultant SB+CO is looking for a senior consultant to join its London-based team.  

UK airport Heathrow is recruiting an environmental manager to assist its carbon strategy team in developing, monitoring and managing effective approaches to carbon reduction and air quality improvement.   

Speaker firm Sonos is looking for a senior product sustainability lead to provide their perspective on new projects. The hybrid role can be based in either London or Glasgow.
