Corporate sustainability events at London Climate Action Week
REP has put together a list of some of the most relevant sessions and receptions being held later this month
This month’s London Climate Action Week (LCAW) is predicted to bring 45,000 people to the city – and it feels as if there are almost as many events.
To make it a little easier to plan for, Real Economy Progress has put together a list of some of the sessions and receptions most relevant for corporate sustainability folk.

Monday 22nd
The Scope 3 Peer Group is putting together a ‘plan of action’ for LCAW attendees focused on value-chain emissions. You can sign up here.
ERM is hosting a discussion about how to turn ISO 14001 into environmental and business performance.
There will be an invite-only session on carbon markets from the World Economic Forum, including discussion about how to unlock demand and integrity, and boost coordination between governments and corporates.
Tuesday 23rd
The Climate Bonds Initiative will host a session on sustainable financing opportunities and trends, alongside its annual Climate Bonds Awards.
Diageo and L’Oreal are involved in a panel about investing in and managing water risk across value chains, covering cross-sectoral and multi-stakeholder collaboration, and the role of nature-based solutions.
Keeping your net zero promises with AI: a panel from KPMG on how to fulfil climate pledges while scaling artificial intelligence
Wednesday 24th
Net zero standards and corporate decision-making: what companies need to know now. This is a session from The Nature Conservancy about how evolving net-zero frameworks are shaping corporate climate strategies and demand for nature-based credits.
Turning transition plans into real results: an afternoon session organised by the Carbon Trust on building the business case for the low-carbon transition.
Watershed will host a session on AI, data, and the low-carbon business case.
A panel called Net Zero Value Chains: Market-Based Instruments to Scale Scope 3 Decarbonization will include speakers from SBTi, Nestle and BASF.
Business for Social Responsibility and the World Benchmarking Alliance will host a debate on the trade-offs and governance of transition plans that integrate climate, nature and social agendas.
Thursday 25th
There will be an invite-only business reception organised by the Renewable Energy Agency, Confederation of British Industry, UK Finance, British Chambers of Commerce, and Cambridge Institute for Sustainability Leadership. Keynote by Secretary of State Ed Miliband.
Driving Consumer Trust and Commercial Value Through Carbon Labelling is a breakfast session on consumer behaviour around sustainability claims, and the EU’s Empowering Consumers for the Green Transition Directive.
Arup is holding an invite-only workshop on “the minimum whole life carbon data needed for real business decisions”.
