Maersk, ASOS, Tony’s Chocolonely and Unilever are among those currently recruiting sustainability experts.

Unilever is looking for two plastics specialists for senior fixed-term roles. The consumer goods giant is currently hiring a global sustainability manager and senior global sustainability manager for 12 months, to drive its work on plastics. Both roles are based in London, with the former paying up to £73,000 and the latter £88,000. 

Danish shipping giant Maersk is recruiting two senior GHG emissions specialists to join its team in Copenhagen. The roles involve representing the firm in feedback to bodies including the Science Based Targets initiative and the GHG Protocol.  

Online clothing firm ASOS is seeking a sustainability manager to lead its carbon reduction strategy, including value chain Scope 3 emissions. The role is based in London.

Pret a Manger is hiring a reporting & compliance sustainability lead to oversee its mandatory and voluntary reporting requirements, including its Modern Slavery Statement. The London-based role pays between £55,000 and £65,000 per year.  

British museum the V&A is looking for a project manager to help it implement a new climate action plan. The salary is £48,000.   

Tony’s Chocolonely is recruiting a data analyst to manage its farmer supply chain information. The Amsterdam-based role pays between €54,000 and €67,000 per year. 

Logistics firm DHL is looking for a manager to support its GoGreen agenda, including its 2025 and 2030 sustainability targets. The 12-month fixed-term contract is based in Milton Keynes and pays up to £50,000 per year.  

Danish farm supplies cooperative DLG Group is recruiting a sustainability compliance specialist to help it with its disclosure under the Corporate Sustainability Reporting Directive and the Science Based Targets initiative. The role is based in Frederica.  

The Clorox Company is seeking a sustainability manager to join its California team and support the US consumer goods firm’s disclosures. The role pays between $88,000 and $204,000, depending on location. 

Fashion brand Reiss is looking for an ESG coordinator to deliver its ethical trade programme and sustainability efforts. The role is based in London. 

Luggage maker Samsonite is recruiting an analyst to help deliver its sustainability agenda. The role is based in Massachusetts.

In other jobs-related news, sustainability consultancy Anthesis has a new CEO. Matthew Bell, global leader for climate change and sustainability services at EY, will take over from co-founder Stuart McLachlan in December.
