This fortnight’s sustainability vacancies include Universal Music and Meta’s hunt for a water specialist

Meta is seeking a water specialist to lead due diligence work around the selection of data centre sites in the US. The role at the Californian tech giant pays between $152,000 and $221,000 per year.  

Danish pharmaceutical firm Novo Nordisk is looking for a director of ESG data and strategy to lead a team of six and oversee the company’s ESG forecasting and reporting.

Universal Music Group is recruiting a sustainability manager to support the development and implementation of its corporate sustainability strategy. The New York City-based role pays up to $121,000.  

US healthcare firm Solventum is looking for a responsible sourcing data scientist and project manager to engage with key suppliers and gather accurate supply chain emissions data. The salary for the Minnesota-based role is $82,000-$100,000.   

Consultancy Anthesis is adding a principal consultant to its climate risk and resilience team. The role, located in either the US or Canada, pays between $74,000 and $131,000. 

Danish aquaculture feed specialist Biomar is looking for an ESG specialist for a six-month assignment to help it strengthen its sustainability reporting ahead of its planned IPO. 

The Taskforce on Nature-related Financial Disclosures (TNFD) is searching for two roles: a senior technical manager and an associate. Both are one-year, fixed-term roles, created to support the ongoing technical development of TNFD guidance. 

Energy firm Engie UK is looking for an agriculture, sustainability and logistics coordinator to support its feedstock and sustainability teams, along with managing relationships with farmers and suppliers. 

Consultancy Control Risks is recruiting an expert to its business and human rights unit in Dubai. The successful candidate will manage projects across the Middle East, including monitoring worker welfare, creating scoring frameworks, and advising on “a range of security and human rights matters in challenging locations”. 

Milkywire is hiring a senior impact manager for tech and AI. The carbon removal firm has set up an initiative to accelerate the adoption and use of AI, and wants someone to help identify and scale climate solutions, and measure their real-world impact. 

People moves 

Meanwhile, UK energy firm SSE has nabbed National Grid’s chief sustainability officer, Rhian Kelly, who will replace Rachel McEwen in the role later this year. McEwen helped develop SSE’s ‘world first’ corporate just transition strategy in 2020.   

And commercial floor cleaning firm Tennant Company has named Megan Reinbold Wickmann as its new head of sustainability. She joins the Minnesota-based company from US diesel engine manufacturer Cummins Inc, where she was sustainability and compliance leader.
