The EU’s ‘omnibus’: What do we know so far? (Podcast Alert)
Richard Gardiner and Andreas Rasche will be joining Real Economy Progress on Monday January 13th, to help make sense of the EU’s controversial plans to review its corporate sustainability rules.
European Commission president Ursula von der Leyen took the world by surprise in November when she quietly pledged to make life easier for companies by streamlining the Corporate Sustainability Reporting Directive, the Corporate Sustainability Due Diligence Directive and the EU Taxonomy.
The Commission has remained tight-lipped about the planned ‘omnibus’ ever since, creating widespread uncertainty about what will happen to the requirements in 2025.
To take stock of what we know so far about the omnibus process, and consider what may unfold under the EU’s new workplan, we’ll hear from Gardiner, head of EU policy at the World Benchmarking Alliance, and Professor Rasche, an associate dean at Copenhagen Business School.
