Heineken is looking for a senior manager for global human rights to embed the topic into its value chain due diligence programme, with a particular focus on the EU’s Corporate Sustainability Due Diligence Directive and the US’s Forced Labour Ban. “As we look to what is ahead, we see more change on the horizon, in particular, a step up in human rights legislation and reporting, as well as opportunities to continue to drive meaningful impact, and respond effectively to emerging topics,” the drinks company said in its job listing. The Amsterdam-based role will be part of Heineken’s global social sustainability and human rights team, which sits within its ‘people’ function.

Retail firm Dunelm is hiring a junior candidate to analyse and report on its approach to sustainable packaging. “This role will be critical in supporting the delivery of accurate sustainability data reporting and working on projects that will improve operational efficiency and mitigate costs across our supply chain,” it said in the vacancy. It will include conducting compliance spot checks and benchmarking Dunelm against peers.

Amazon is recruiting a sustainability product manager for its private brands team to “drive efforts to reduce product impact on the environment”. The retailer said it wanted to make all its private-brand products more sustainable “without requiring customers to sacrifice on price or quality”. The successful candidate “will be responsible for driving efforts to reduce waste, promote product circularity, and track environmental compliance, working with stakeholders across leadership, legal, compliance, engineering, product, finance, and product teams to solve challenging problems in an ambiguous and evolving environment”.

IKEA is on the hunt for “a purpose-led” sustainability accountant to join its sustainability performance and reporting team. The role will focus on environmental disclosures and helping IKEA’s parent company “reach its sustainability strategy in a fact-based way”. It will cover the firm’s carbon accounting processes, and interpreting new reporting standards. It will be based in Malmö, Sweden. IKEA is also recruiting experts to focus on supply chain sustainability, based out of Lithuania and Italy.

Distribution company Bunzl is seeking a sustainability manager to help run its global sustainability initiatives and ensure compliance with environmental legislation. The firm, which works across healthcare, safety, cleaning, retail, grocery and food services in 17 countries, also wants to candidate to help with customer engagement and in-house training on sustainability and reporting topics.

Fashion house Chanel has opened applications for a number of roles in ESG data. It says it is “transforming its business” to respect the environment and communities within its value chain. It is looking for additions to its ESG Performance Reporting and Monitoring team, based in Paris, and a sustainability data process optimisation lead for its London-based Sustainability Performance team.

PR house Browning Environmental is recruiting someone to oversee its corporate sustainability work. Either a director based in London, or a senior vice president in Washington DC, the firm wants the candidate to help with projects including the development of sustainability strategies, impact reports and disclosures, branding and communications.

UK-based consultancy SQW is looking for a director to lead its climate work. It plans to build out its activities helping clients – including governments and sub-national entities – on the net-zero transition, climate adaptation and energy security policy.
